Don't think this appears to have registered thus far but Blue Tongue is a haemoraghic (sp) disease that can cause up to 70% mortality in white tail which are very closely related to roe. Plans are afoot to blood test deer in East Anglia, fingers crossed it's not a big issue. We've got very used to some huge deer densities in the UK over the past 20 years - the alternative would be very painful! | ||

1894, good point, and to be honest I hadn't really thought of the desies affecting the deer. Is it likely to affect any other species in it's current form that youknow about? Rgds, FB | |||
