Hi Alex Try the Forrest Estate at Dalry, Dumfries+Galloway. They do quite reasonable packages for hind stalking. Regards Mark Hunting is getting as close as you can, shooting is getting as far away as possible.

Griff, What's normal for hinds these days? It used to be a case of £100-£150 and shoot as many as you can , but now I am hearing of estates limiting each stalker to a hind and calf for the fee charged. Rgds, FB

HI FB I know the head stalker well at the Forrest Estate and I suppose the answer is 'it depends' on the day, herd location and condition as the Estate see it. Trying to dispose of the venison know seems to be the major problem that limits numbers taken. Mark Hunting is getting as close as you can, shooting is getting as far away as possible.
