Try the Forrest Estate at Dalry, Dumfries+Galloway. They do quite reasonable packages for hind stalking.

The Estate is owned by the shipping magnet Fred Olsen and is approximately 16,000 acres there is also wild goat, and fishing..

What's normal for hinds these days? It used to be a case of £100-£150 and shoot as many as you can , but now I am hearing of estates limiting each stalker to a hind and calf for the fee charged.

I know the head stalker well at the Forrest Estate and I suppose the answer is 'it depends' on the day, herd location and condition as the Estate see it. Trying to dispose of the venison know seems to be the major problem that limits numbers taken.
