White Stag in the Scottish Highlands

I remember seeing a mounted head in the Czech republic, 7x7 imperial. Superb.

I don't think he looks 6/7 years old in the picture!

FYI - both leucistic and albino red deer have been known from North Cornwall and West Devon for some time. I have also heard of leucistic roe in an area not far from the approximate location of the stag that is the subject of this story.

Snowy the white red deer stag was shot by a poacher in Cornwall last year but thankfully a white calf was seen in the same area this Winter.

THere are a few white Fallow kicking about in Sussex. In some places they are very common. The guys tend to not shoot them too heavily as they are a bit more vizible and give their mates away in low light.

I'd like to shoot a nice white buck as I tink it would make a nice mount.

Shot a white pricket a few years ago. Very visible from the road so had to go.

Blood on white deer looks particularly - well bloody!

There were a few white fallow on the ground I shoot a few years ago. We took them out for the same reason as 1894 - they were attracting unwanted attention.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....
