Over in Medium bores is about a custom rifle of my father's that was built by Bortmess in the US, in the late 70s. I need a new trigger for it. If anyone can ID the action, or the trigger assembly, I'd appreciate it.

It looks like a Sauer rifle to me.

Could be a Sauer 80. Would not be sure.

The bolt and locking lugs look Sauer to me.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

This is a Voere action - of either German or Austrian orgin. I can never quite get my head around which parts of the company existed in Germany and which in Austria.

The Voere rifles were either sold in the US, or the actions made into US built rifles in the 80'es and 90'es under the name KDF or Kleinguenther (sp?).

The company currently operating under the name of Voere has a website - http://www.voere.com/firearms.htm - but I'm not quite sure this is the company which made your rifle. At least one company under the name of Voere went bankrupt, and I think one part of them was resurrected and now has the website listed above.

If the current Voere company can't help you further, try Hannes Kepplinger. He builds triggers for a bunch of rifles, and may have something for yours as well, or at least know where to get it...
