This is a 2-barrel set --- one set is 8x57 IRS and the other is a set of 20ga barrels. It's the other info I need and the translation web-sites aren't much help.

It sounds like the gun only has one trigger (Einabzug), and if that is set (Französischer Stecher), that sole trigger must be pushed forward to set, and activated to fire. The sole trigger will fire both barrels.

Just from the description of the gun, I don't think there are a front and a rear trigger. What is described in the quote above, would be a double set trigger (Deutsche Stecher) as opposed to a single set (Französischer Stecher), which, from the sound of it, is how the gun is equipped.
