Outfitter- Fran Cortina of Corju Hunting
Country - Spain
Dates- late September 2022.
Gun - Tikka 270. WSM- borrowed from Fran.

This is an odd hunt . I bought it at an auction for next to nothing . However, I upgraded it for larger animals .

I got a text from Fran that they had seen a massive ibex. He wanted to know if I could come on short notice . I am busy as hell but I went anyway.

The mountains are quite rugged. Our climb was not all that bad. Fortunately. We spotted ibex fairly quickly. I laid down and took the ibex with a single shot at about 175 yards. He was 14.5 years old. Teeth worn down.

Fran is a very nice guy. He runs a good outfit . I’d definitely recommend him. We are going back in December.

Well done Larry, that's a brute!

That is a great alpine trophy animal. Out of interest, what ammo were you using in the 270WSM?
