Good reading; not sure about neck shooting the first chamois at 300 metres; especially as he later waits for long periods( half hour or more) to get the right shot. Nonetheless many thanks for posting these articles.

I once talked my lifelong hunting buddy into taking a shot at some rockchucks with his .30-06, from horseback, at roughly 200 yards. Well, he sent one spinning 360's a good ten feet in the air. After a hearty laugh, with my informing him what a lucky bastard he was, he repeated the shot ...Twice!
