They are called Grey seal, (Halichoerus grypus ) but we Icelanders call them Deep Ocean seals. They are not easy to get, they are very shy and stay on the shore where it is hard to get to or more often on small islands or reefs. Skype username solvijoh

What do you do with those? Can you eat them?

People used to eat them, but now days they are only consumed by older people and some that live by the cost in fishing villages. Until recently they where shoot as the government had a bounty on them and you could make some good money, but now there are no rewards, so they are not sought after by many. But hunting them can be fun. Skype username solvijoh

More wonderful tales from Icland ( I think it's spelled H.e.a.v.e.n in English! I really need to get over there. Maybe I can con someone into giving me a Anthropology teaching job after I retire from the Navy in Reyk. Women, hunting, fishing, how can a guy go wrong with so many beautiful options?
