Can anybody please enlighten me as to the easist way to get a payment from a buyer in USA over to my bank account in the UK?

I have a paypal account but don't know if they take a percentage charge for me using this service?

Cheers

IBAN number and what bank to pay to and one is good to go.

Remember the americans still use checks as a payment system and don´t always have an internet based/accessable bank.

I have paid for loads of gear doing bank to bank transactions, and this from little old Sweden and with my rather poor understanding of the language. Wink

Depends on the cost of the item!

Lloyds will charge £20 for an international transfer - then there is a further £6 which is paid by the receiving agency - or out of your pocket if you tick the 'meet all costs' box.

Paypal will add 3% to the cost of transaction - so for cheaper items/ lesser payments - it may be a better bet.

Conversely, just add the premium to the cost!
