I think I know where you're going and who you're going with . I would add to your list something to cover the back of your neck (I got it bad last year). Also got my forehead pretty good so a hat with a wide brim might be a good idea. **STAY ALERT! The world is running out of lerts; we can't afford to lose anymore!**

Anybody ever use one of those pop-up style canopy? I didn't know if the wind would be too bad, but it would be great for keeping the sun out.

I have shot them close to 20 years and never put any ammo in a cooler. The therma cell and bug repellenant might be a duplication. I always use a lot of repellant around PD towns. NRA Patron member

I've used a 8x8 easyup shelter once. It's usually more trouble than it's worth to put it up, as the wind always blows across the PD fields. I used 1/4" rebar stakes, about 12" long to hold it in place. Even then, the windward side kept working it's way out. --------------------------------- Joe --------------------------------- If bullshit suddenly bounced, Biden's next step would put him on the moon.....

Be a considerate and conservation-minded hunter: Practice shoot and release. Remove no prairie dog from its natural habitat. Whatever their condition, leave as many dogs behind as you found when you arrived.

It was a blast. The dogs were skittish in many places, very few shots under 250 yds. Had some very windy weather all 3 days with rain moving in the last afternoon. The pups were up and most dogs were hanging out around 400 yds. I did confirm a kill at 493 and 480 yds one morning and that was the only time I went out to survey the damage. I did learn that mil-dot scopes are more useful than turning knobs for elevation and windage. I plan on going back next year, need to start loading now....
