This does not really have to do with varmint hunting, but I think you guys can help me out anyway. I have a small hav-a-heart trap (about the size used to catch squirrels). Anyway I was wondering what is the best way to keep larger animals from setting off the trap?

What are you trying to trap and what is tripping it? Bait?

I don't quite understand. If they can't get inside, how do they set it off???
