Ive used them quite a bit in the Handi. In that rifle they shoot really well, avr. about MOA at 100yds. Speed using H335 is about 3600 from the 20" barrel.

For real fun throw them in a 22-250 or the likes. I made up a batch for the Savage that went 4200+ and shot like a true lead laser. Hehe its kind of cool watching them out a bit because you can totally tell the difference in speed between my normal 55grn 3700fps load and the little 35grn bullets.

One thing that I dont much care for is they have the BC of a brick. Hornady lists them at a whopping .109 and it sure shows. You get to really learn wind doping with them.

As for terminal effects, Ive only shot a couple squirrels and a rockchuck with them. Squirrels disappeared in a cloud, and squirrel parts literally fell from the sky. The rockchuck just slumped over, no exit and only a .22cal entry.

Hope this helps.

[Big Grin] Have been using the light Hornady's VMax ever since Lock,Stock,&Barrel had blems on sale last year. In .223, have used the bullet with 25 gr of 2200, 28 gr of 748 and H335, and a load with some 680 powder I had left over from a project many years ago. The loads shoot very well.

Loaded some up in my .22-250 (rechambered 1-12 twist .223 barrel) just to see if I could blow them up. [Roll Eyes] Used maximum loads for 40gr bullets. No luck. [Frown] Did take them out prairie dogging Thursday. The devestation was impressive.
The comment on their low BC? True, oh so True.

By the way, L,S,&B has blems in stock again. Gotta buy a minimum of 500 though.
