I've just finished putting together my last project. A Savage12FLV in .308win with Farrel 10moa base, Leupold PRW 30mm rings, A Leupold 6.5-20x50mm LRT varmint reticle, Harris bi-pod, the only piece not here yet is a new Laminated Thumbhole stock (left-handed). I've taken the time to break in the barrel as per intruction, shoot and clean, over and over, etc.
Now I'd like to get some input on some mild 150gr and 165gr. Boat-tail spitzers. Also I'd like some info on the Berger 175's? Which brass, primers (210m's), Varget? Maybe some ideas on moly, I've read all the articles and pros and cons, but never really heard from real life shooter? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Mike

150 gr. bullets:
Try somewhere around 46.5 gr of IMR 4064 in Win. brass with a CCI BR-2 primer. Velocity should be around 2800 to 2850 depending on the barrel. Also you could try about 47.0 gr. of VV N540 again in Win. brass with a Fed. 210M primer. Again velocity should run around 2800 to 2850 fps. Not really a Lite load but easy on the shoulder and accurate in the 308's that I have used those loads in.

165/168 gr.bullets
Try around 40.0 and 41.0 IMR 4895 in Winchester brass with a CCI BR-2 primer. Velocity runs about 2550 to 2575 fps and has shoot very well in all the 308's that I have tried it in. Reloader 15 works pretty well, as does VV N550

175 gr. Bullets
I have had the best luck with between 48.0 and 48.6 gr. of H4350 in Win. brass and CCI BR-2 primer. Velocity should avg. about 2600 to 2625 fps. Accuracy is good enough to keep me competitive in 600 yard "F" class matches.

If you would be interested in a load with a 125 gr. Ballistic Tip or a Speer TNT bullet, try somewhere around 51.0 51.5 gr of Win. 748 in Win. brass with a Fed. 210M primer. Velocity will be around 3100 fps and stomps coyotes. Surely isn't a hide load.

Hope this has helped some. As always work up slowly.
