Here in Indiana we call them groundhogs, in Ohio you will find Woodchucks, and I have hunted rockchucks in Idaho. If you ask my Sako Vixen she does'nt care what you call them, she just wants to hunt!!!

In Pennsylvania, we called the groundhogs on Saturday, and Woodchucks on Monday..

Each name is used about the same amount here in Ohio. Groundhog, woodchuck, hog, chuck. I think hog may be used less as wild boars move into the area All farmers say the same thing about them "get them all!"
