Hi John. Good to hear from you again. I'm working on a couple of switch barrels as well, one based on 223 case head size and the other on basic magnum case size. As to your xmas dilemna (sp?), I would go with the 204, it sounds like a fun round.
Oh, I was back on LI in Oct/Nov, stayed in Bethpage and had a great time (as usual).

I don't know about you, but if my 22-250 shot 1/2" groups at 650yds, I think I'd wouldn't do one darn thing to the barrel, but instead, go buy another gun to shoot the bigger bullet you are wanting to shoot for what ever purpose.

Sub 1/2 MOA at 650 yards is < 3.25 inches, not <1/2 inch.
