| The Winchester White Box with the 45 grain hollow points has a reputation for shooting lights out in most guns especially considering its price. I'm not sure how the hollow points would treat the pelts though.

| +1 The white box Winchesters group better than anything, even my best handloads, in my Ruger 77. Devastating on impact. Their is usually a big hole on the off side, though. I'm not sure there is a way to kill them right there and not punch holes in the pelt. Bfly

| I've had good luck with Federal premium 55gr hollow points. These are Sierra 55gr Gameking BTHP's. They aren't cheap but they only exit about 50% of the time on broadside coyotes.
I am now handloading them and have improved accuracy over the factory stuff. My rifle is a Savage not a Ruger. |

| The guy that sold me the rifle recommended the Federal Premiums for accuracy. I tried some at the range and for they group about the same as the Remington UMC 50 grain hollow points, but they cost close to twice as much! |

| Mine is a .223 but both the Win and Rem UMC loads shot well and were low cost. |
