I got a text message from a buddy that runs a large south Texas private hunting ranch: "Want to go calling"?

I made a few calls, rearranged my schedule, and head south. We had time to make two stands, called in and took one coyote.

We headed back to the lodge and his wife had an awesome pork tenderloin supper ready for us.

I lit up a "going home" cigar and headed back home.

Life is good!

I am going back down in a few weeks with my calling partner to help DM thin out some predators and hogs.

Bob

DM with his coyote. I was using the CompuCaller III playing the Cottontail Duet and a Stick Tease decoy.

Nice job. Dinner looks good. Nice self-pic.

But that coyote looks like it is barely legal! I think I can see some milk still on its chin from when it was nursing moments before shot! Wink

My calling starts this weekend...

Nope, pretty typical south Texas female coyote.

Hey Bob
don't let the bastid's get ya' down.

Bob is one of the callingest, hardest workin' varmint hunters you've ever seen.
He'll stay up all nite callin', nites on end,
get up in the mornin' and go hunt piggies or javi's, grab 40 winks and be back at it.
And unlike yours truly, he don't smoke cheap cigars!

I say if they're old enough to hoot they're old enough to shoot.

Keep up the good work there Bob,
Hope to hunt with you again soon.
Best
GWB
