Rem. 700 VSL stock ?

I have a Remington 700 VLS (laminated stock). I was looking it over the barrel is free floated every place execept under the swivel stud were it look like they left it for a pressure point anyone haveing one of thies is yours like that on not. How tight do you torque the actions screws when you put them toghter.

mine in 6mm had it ,but I ground the bbl channel out and glass bedded it before it ever had been shot.

my brother has one in 223 and it is stock except for the trigger and will shoot in the low .4s

Shoot it before you do anything to the stock. I'll bet you won't even have to touch it.

That's standard on a Remington. As a rule, it works quite well.
