Got this young, very dark, groundhog about 15 minutes ago. It was 100 yards from the basement door with the 22.250AI. I had to move him to take the picture as the it looked like a red firehose pattern in the grass where he died. They are essentially a squirrel. Yeah, a rodent but big. My neighbor stewed them in a crock pot. ~Ann | |||

There used to be several "older" fellas in the area that would prowl the roads in the late spring/early summer looking for the younger groundhogs to eat. They are mostly gone now as is the rural flavor of the area. Several of the farms have sprouted houses and more planned for the future as well as a "mall" not that far away! Now way/place to move away in middle TN, kalifornians and Northeastern folks are swallowing all of it at kalifornian prices. Oh well it will get much worse before I kick off . . . least ways I hope I have some time left . . . Don't limit your challenges . . . Challenge your limits | |||

In talking with two realty companies here in Kentucky, over 50% of the rural properties they have been involved with selling in the last three years have been purchased by people moving from California.
