like anything by Jeep, they rusted out quick in places where they salted the roads...

I would have walked around this one, but there was a junkyard dog in attendance- body looks in good shape from the distance I was away from it.

there's quite a few of the fc-150s 4x4's here around corpus... i think they may have been military at sometime... there's been 1 on craiglist for like $500 for a while....complete, surface rust... yada..yada...

From what I understand about those FC's is getting one with good glass is hard and replacement glass is non existent

The first thing I thought about this one was that it already got its replacement windows, it's in good shape.

I think the military did use them, also.

I like Econoline pickups, too.

The company that I did my apprenticeship with in 1959 gave one those to drive; it was AOK. I would kind like to have one now; however they did rust away to nothing FAST, in Iowa. Thank you for the reminder. Jack

The load bed looks to be bit on the short side to me and I'd hope to see a naturally aspirated diesel engine without too many electronics but if they get that right, I could see that selling very well here in Africa.

Cool vehicles but it makes you wonder why they made the chassis & loadbed so very short huh?

Even assuming they made a long & a short wheelbase and this is the short wheelbase, it still looks about a yard (or more) too short.

I think it had to do with using existing tooling and parts; I have read that there were problems with stability (I shoulda been a lawyer... or a politician)due to the short base.

At that, the short turning radius, etc, was an advantage of sorts for Jeeps.
