Ok, maybe not cut Federal Red Tape but it is dang sharp. It will honestly cut curls off a single hair as I did it with this knife. Dog Star pattern Damascus blade, Sambar Stag handle, stainless guard with engraving. All done by myself in my shop with my wife standing over me with a whip.
Beautiful work Jerry. Everything about that knife appeals to me. One question for you: where did find the stag horn for the scales? I'd like a set large enough to make grips for my 1911. Thanks for taking the time to share your work with us.

Forrest, I have not seen stag scales of that size in years. i will keep an eye out though. Moose, right up next to the rose end would be tough enough and clean enough.

Beautiful knife as always Jerry. Your wife must be related to mine as all I can hear in my head is "...Verk....VERK!!!....Ze kitchen needs ze new countertops!...."

Thanks guys. We are all knife men, it just depends upon where you want to draw the line on quality equipment. Is the gun, the boots? Using the knife is the beginning of the work, why not make it go easier with a quality knife from a custom maker?
