I have one and really like it. It's one of the Hunter series, D2 Tool steel. Sharp as a razor and keeps its edge. I really like their little Jaeger boning knife, just have to break open the wallet...

I use them and they are great. I have the bear cub and cleaver combo and the skinner gut hook model. The cleaver is the least used one I have found that my Cold Steel Kukri is much better for chopping. The other 2 knives are great and I am rarely without them in the woods when hunting.

Good quality production knives. Charles Allen the owner and founder of KOA also owns Alaskan Expedition (hunting and fishing lodge on the Tsiu river in Alaska). I spent 9 days there last october. He is coming out with a knew process for his knives that has not been released to the public yet. I will not spoil his suprise. If all goes well his new process should revolutionize the knife industry. He is coming out with a couple of new knives this coming year. One will be called the "Sheep Hunter" and I hope it is well received. D2 is a great metal for knives when properly heat treated. Like cooking some folks can produce an excellent cake or pie with the same ingredients that others can concoct to a barely palatable morsel utilizing the same ingredients. KOA knives I have used are cooked right!

Focus on the leading edge!
