Hi Guys, I have Boker knife which has "503 stainless" on the blade. What does 503 mean? Thanks. Copula ergo sum.

It must be a model number since I know of no 503 type stainless steel.

Thanks, My knife is not like the one above, it has a clip blade, a brass bolster and curved synthetic handle. However it's as you say likely to be a model 503. Boker are good knives. Copula ergo sum
