I am looking for a nice custom neck knife to give as a Christmas present. All I can find online are either tactical models, or are so expensive that I can't afford them. Anybody got any suggestions???

1115,

Not sure what you are interested in specifically but, have a look at Bark River Knife and Tool. I have a couple of their knives (Mikro & Mini Canadian models)and I am very happy with them. They have a huge number of possible handle materials and a variety of useful blade configurations available. In my opinion one of the best features of Bark River Knives is the fact that they use A2 steel and a Convex Ground blade. This makes them easy to sharpen yet at the same time the A2 steel is very tough.

Also check out the Knife Forums as they have a variety of discussion topics on all different types of knives.

Hope this help.
