Good morning, Board; That looks like a trocar to me. It is an instrument to allow gas to escape from a cow's stomach to relieve bloat. In use, the instrument is assembled and then inserted in the hollow ahead of the cow's hip. There is a natural hollow there. I believe you have to use the left side. After the instrument is inserted, withdraw the "pick" and allow the gas to escape through the hollow piece. Be good. horsefly | |||

Seldom do you get out of the way, especially if the bloat has been caused by green lucern [alfalfa.] That green mist / sludge covers damn near the whole world. | |||
