djpaintlesJeffrey, Superb Pic! are you the photographer?
I had a Busse Steel Heart I think it was but didn't care for the asymetric sharpening geometry they used.
I also ordered 3 knives from their sister company and only got 2 of them. I found them difficult to deal with and since there are other just as good of options I don't know if I care to mess with them again............DJ
....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

I sharpen my knives the way I want the edge - Normal. And I get then sharper then when they come from the factory.
The INFI steel on the Busse knives are the best I ever used. after chopping both birch and pine the knife where still able to shave hait from my arms. I was in shock!!!
Perry the Winchester is a .375 HH supergrade from 1949. 4+1 Ohhh yeah.

Boom stick get a busse knife they are great but if you are not going to chop get a smaller one then the BM or SH. In fact get a convex grind Satin jack LE if you can.

Cheers,
André

oscar_deltaI do like Busse knives, but feel they are a little heavy ;-)
This poor quality picture (sorry I do not have your talent) at least shows the two ones i will never let go:
The large one is a custom from a thiers custom maker (blade is 30cm long), the other one a shiva ki - "samurai steel" - the sharpest knife I know of. Really incredible, and the easiest to sharpen...

I would think that those Brussse knives would be a little to short/thick with not enough guard to be good pig hunting knives???
I have never "stabbed a pig" but I have been in a couple of knife fights.
I have learned, even if you are the only one with a knife, if you do not have a good guard you can be cut.

You are right, a guard is very good when stabbing game. However most of the gauchos knves have no guard
I like a guard and a thick blade that will not break.
On most Busse knives it is posible to make a braided full hand guard of para-cord.

André

juanpozziI personally dont like guards ,for me Busse knives design are just perfect ,in my country in the south Gauchos used long facones ,and in the north very wide and long knives similar to a kitchen knife but giant .Juan

Best thing is that they are indestructable and comes with the best warenty on the market.
