I recently picked up a box of the .308 caliber 180 gr. Speer hot-cor bullets, as I got them real cheap. I've not shot them before. I typically shoot partitions or 165 gr sierra HPBt's. How do the Hot cors do on game as far as penetration and meat damage.

I've shoot only .264 140grs hot-cor in 6,5x55. I've used only on roe-deers and a wild boar. I'm in love with this bullet, you may believe or not but kill roe-deer faster than 100 and 120 nosler bt with less meat damage and a lot more penetration. Used on the boar (about 200lbs) broke both shoulder and went out leaving a golf ball sized hole.
