I'm having my very old Weatherby 22-250 re-barreled and chambered to 22-250 AI. I currently use RL15 and 52 Amax for foxing. Can anyone recommend a good load for the AI? Thank you

johnny, i would use the max load data for the 22/250 and work up. I never loaded any reloader powder but the H414 @ 42grs was a one hole load for my 22/250Ai always start low and work up You can get in trouble fast with only a couple tenths of a grain change. Dave

I'm using 38gr of Varget from Nosler #5.Haven't run it over the chrony(list velocity 50grBT is 3730fps).It gives me 1/2 to 3/4" grps @ 200yds. Monashee

You can use the starting loads for a 220 swift for starting loads in the 22-250AI.What twist does your rifle have?Mine has 1-9 and does not like the light bullets,it tears them up.

I punched a 1-14" Weatherby Varmintmaster to 22-250AI and thunk pretty highly of it,as blued/walnut goes.

Who's 1-9" tube? My 1-9" Hart and 1-7.7" Kreiger dote on 50gr V-Max at 4000fps+.
