This load was very accurate with a couple of 5-shot groups hovering right around 1 inch or so. Velocity is on the mild side but still within 9.3x62 velocity specs. (If I remember correctly, Kynoch/ICI loaded their ammo to 2250 fps. Sellier & Bellot currently loads to a spec of 2280 fps.)

For those of us in the USA, the 9.3 Prvi Partizan bullets are available at Grafs at very attractive prices. ($18.99 per 100) I was very pleased with the accuracy of this bullet considering their price. Should make a great practice load and it would probably work just fine on hogs down here in Texas.

Please describe the 9.3 Prvi Partizan 285 grain bullet. Graff did not have much info on it. is it a softpoint? Any one have any experience with it? Sure seems like a great price.

All rifles are slightly different. My 550 American likes 57.0 gr of RL-15 with either Norma or Graf brass. On Norma brass I got the following results with the 286 gr Nosler and WLR primers for a 10 shot string on a recently calibrated Pact Chrono:

Ave Vel 2,417.5

I was amazed by the low ES (extreme spread) and the high velocities. Rifle shoots sub MOA with this load when I do my part.

Is a fine load and worked well on plains game in RSA; taking Impala, Warthog, Blue Wildebeast, Kudu and Zebra. All were one shot pass through kills with the exception of the Kudu who had not read "The Perfect Shot."

I use Graf brass for all practice and local hunting and find it works very well too.

I have a 22" LW LH Win 70 9.3 X 62 with a Pac-Nor Barrel my best load with Laupua Brass 286 grain Nosler Partition, CCI Std. Primer is 58.5 Grains of RL 15 for 2400 FPS very accurate but a handfull in my light rifle.

My CZ 550 cycles fine with 286 gr Nosler Partition set to COL of 3.35 inches. Plenty of room in the magazine and the throat.

Notes: Very accurate load. Basically duplicates the standard 9.3x62 load of a 286 gr bullet at 2360 fps muzzle velocity.

I am very glad to have this info. as I just bought a bag of Graf brass yesterday. I have some Sellier & Bellot ammo, a few boxes of new Norma ammo and now the Graf brass. I have one superb, vintage Mauser 98 sporter in the 9.3 and a CZ-550 FS on order, due in about a month or two.

I am curious as to how guys have found the quality of the Graf brass compared with RWS and Norma, for example? Any opinions would be welcome.

I don't know who makes it but I've been very happy with the Graf brass. But, in the interest of full disclosure, I haven't tried any other brand of brass in my 9.3x62. My guess would be that the Lapua and Norma brass is probably a little more uniform but I've had such good results with the Graf brass I haven't bothered trying other brands.

I'm using the Graf's brass in 9.3x62. I've been pleased with it so far. Some of the flash holes need a little cleaning up but not a big deal. The shoulders appear to be nicely annealed. For the price, it seems to be pretty decent brass.

I've been using the Graf brass in my 9.3x62 and I've been very happy with it. Also, the Prvi Partizan 285 gr component bullets from Graf's have been accurate in my CZ 550 (around 1 to 1.25 inch groups at 100 yds). But, I've never hunted with them. I use them for inexpensive practice as they shoot to the same point of impact (at 100 yards) as my 286 gr Woodleigh RN loads. I've never used the factory Prvi ammo, however.

Thankyou, that is what I wanted to know as I remembered that first thread, vaguely, and am interested in results. I will now buy a couple of more bags of Graf brass and should be good to go for the rest of my shooting life. Thanks again, very helpful.
