I shoot the .375" 225 grain Hornady Spire Point in my 375 H&H over 70 grains of H4895 in Remington brass with a CCI 250 primer. Should be about what you are looking for. Maximum is 74.8 grains according to Hornady.

I worked up to 68gr.of H4895 today with no pressure signs and recoil was user friendly. My manuals all have other loads/speeds beside the 225gr.hornady.
My Hodgdon book shows............... 210gr.bullet-67.5gr.H4895=2865fps
235gr.bullet-69.0gr.H4895=2743fps.
225gr.bullet-68.0gr.H4895=??????
What is my speed for the 225gr./68.0- H4895
Iam trying to work up to/duplicate in my 375HH- the 376Steyr 225gr.Hornady Factory load which is 2600FPS
Seems like it would be a good all round/fun Load that should take care of anything around here. thumbWould you say iam there now? Also at these speeds,How many times can i safely reload my brass? This is the first time/cherry rotflmoi have ever reloaded the 375H&H.Thats why all the questions..
Thanks in advance! beer
