I finally broke down and purchased some 300 gr TSX barnes bullets to try out of my Ruger #1 chambered in 405 winchester. Getting good groups out of cast but wanted something better for 200 yards. I am amazed at the Barnes TSX. Groups were three shots only. I settled on 55.0 grains R15. 100 yard group measured .687" outside to outside. At 200 the three shot group measured 1.790" outside to outside. ready for deer and elk this year. Dreaming of Namibia next year. Would like to hear from somebody if they have used this combination in Africa and how it performed. It will be my first trip, plains game only.

also in my Miroku 1895 .405 using VV N133 at 2250 fps. Conclusion, it is a good and accurate bullet for the .405. NRA Life Benefactor Member, DRSS, DWWC, Whittington Center,Android Reloading Ballistics App at http://www.xplat.net/
