Just built this rifle for my father and generated some peak strain data to get him started loading.
Materials: Rem 700 action HS precision stock Douglas premium air gauged stainless steel 1 in 8 twist 26.5" Winchester brass CCI large Magnum primers NBT=Nosler ballistic tip PAR= Nosler partition
This load data closely parallels the information for the 264 Win Mag. I suspect the peak velocity for the 100 gr bullet would run around 3500-3600. H1000 is a little fast for the 140PAR. Use of double base powders could improve on these velocities. In the end I don't believe this will offer anything in the ballistics department over the 264 Win Mag. Maybe accuracy?
