EDIT: Since no one seems to have a Swift Manual nearby--

ANY favorite Loads?
_____________________________________________
Original Post:

I have lost my Swift manual somewhere in the house Confused or loaned it out? (CRS has struck again)

Anyway, if someone can lay their hands on theirs-- What were the "best" powders ?

Seems like I loaded 61 gr. of H-414
or maybe 59 gr of Varget for the last gun.

Or was it 56 grs of 4895,
or 58 of R-15 bewildered

anyway starting off with a new rifle and can't find the book-- (it has my notes in it.) Roll Eyes

Too lazy ( & cheap) today to go buy another one.

I use the 250 gr. Nosler Accubonds, at least the same bullet weight .....

None of the powders you've listed though; I've used VVN-140, IMR-4320, H-4895 & H-4350.

Cheers,

With 250 gr Nosler BT or Accu Bond or Barnes XXX
in my rifle I use 62-to 62.5 Gr RL 15 std primer.
2650 in a 22" barrel very accurate.

My new lol Pre 64 M70 in 9.3x62 with a 24" Pacnor barrel likes both 250 AB with Varget and 286 Partition with Big Game. It really doesn't care about the powder charge. A HUGE group ran 1.8". Several were sub 1/2 MOA, several more sub MOA. Used Lapua cases and WLR primers.
