The bullets don't come apart on moose, but they do overexpand and exit wounds are sometimes lacking. I contacted Woodleigh, and they recommended loading down from top velocity in this cartridge (i.e. 2600fps not 2800fps). Still, if you want a bullet that will expand all its energy in a critter and expand right down to the base, this bullet at top velocity should be it. I now use Rhino Bullets which will handle any velocity, expand well, but penetrate much more and always exit. Cheers, jpb | ||
