How is the Woodleigh 250 factory bullet in the Norma loads ? I have heard conflicting reports.

The .358 Norma is pretty common here in Sweden, and Norma loads this bullet in their factory loads which are readily available.

The bullets don't come apart on moose, but they do overexpand and exit wounds are sometimes lacking. I contacted Woodleigh, and they recommended loading down from top velocity in this cartridge (i.e. 2600fps not 2800fps).

Still, if you want a bullet that will expand all its energy in a critter and expand right down to the base, this bullet at top velocity should be it.

I now use Rhino Bullets which will handle any velocity, expand well, but penetrate much more and always exit.
