I load the 100 Barnes TSX with 72 grains of RL22, 3670 fps over my chrono. out of a 26 in. barrel. It will group .5-.7 in mine and is a killer on long deer and antelope.

I only use 100 grain Partitions or Barnes in the two that I have. I use IMR 7828 74gr. For a speed of 3750.

I have found in all my Weatherby rifles that sticking to Weatherby Over All Cartridge Length seems to work the best. Since the free bore is quite long, I tried to seat the bullet out to max length. However, this only hurt my groups.
Weatherby's O.A.L for the .257 WM is 3.250"

Good-Luck
Steve
