Recently acquired a Ruger 77 in .25/06. Will be using the Nosler Ballistic tip , 115 gr., for smallish deer in Deep South, U.S.A. Have on hand IMR-4350, RL-19, RL-22. Your favorite TESTED recipes for these or other powders, please. [ 09-19-2002, 00:55: Message edited by: wingnut ]

H4831SC is a very good powder for the 25/06. I use 52 gr with 117 grain Sierra Game Kings and get good velocity and very small groups. I'll look up the velocity when I get home and post it later.

I use a nosler balistic tip 100 grain behind 56 grains of R22. ***Warning this is a verry hot load work up from 54 grains. Look for pressure signs and be careful. This is a great antelope and whitetail load but i have only shot it at 150 yards to 350 yards at game. It may not work as well close range. Groups in my 700 BDL 24 in bbl rem are 5/8 3 shots @ 100yrds.

I also like H-4831SC. I'm shooting 53 grains, using CCI mag primers behing 117 Hornady SST's. This load is very hot, but shoots at an MOA in my Rem 700.
