Evening gentlemen
I've been busy looking through about 15 of my reloading books looking for a load for a Lee 310 grain cast that I generally shoot at 1200-1250 fps which is stout.
I'm looking for a load to drop this bullet to about 800-850 fps for some heavy for caliber plinking loads.
In my manuals I can't seem to find any data to get this bullet at that velocity.
Anyone here have experience with it that low?

My go to load for my M629 has always been a 300 gr. LFNGC pushed to 1300-1400 fps. These shoot well but recoil is a bit much. The lightest load for these bullets I have tried was with XMP5744. Velocity was right at 1075 fps and accuracy was good. For a light target load I have played a bit with 200 gr. bullets at around 700 fps in .44 spl cases with the faster pistol powders, but I have yet to find a target load that shoots as well as the heavier loads.

That's pretty hot even for a Ruger, I'm looking for something a bit milder.
