Hello;
I'm in a bit of a philosophical mood tonight and my horse just left to play in a movie. As we ponder this question, let's not forget that the invention of horse shoes and stirrups enabled man to utilize horses to their full potential.

I agree with about all of that,I too live, hunt & ride in Colorado. I quit shoeing horses when I could afford to pay someone to do it. Mine wear shoes probably 9 1/2 months a year. I hate watching a lame horse limp down the trail, & won't take the chance on it happening to my horses. I've got to much into them to let them get lame.
