I finally found a couple cans of H4350. 78gr with the 350gr Woodleigh sound like too much?

Also what about 80gr with the 250gr NorthForks?

This should help, it's the reply from Geoff McDonald at Woodleigh bullets to essentially the same question.

Your loads are very much in line with ours:-
375 H&H 350gr RN or PP SN
Federal 215 primer
68-72 grains H4350 for 2300-2380 fps.
For FMJ start at 68 grains and work up if required.

Geoff McDonald.

Subject: Woodleigh 350g 375 H&H load data

Hi, I've bought 100 of your 350g PPs and 50 of your 350g solids for my CZ 550 in 375 H&H. My rifle is due in this week. The only load data I have is for Barnes 350g bullets. Do you have any suggested loads for the 350g bullets? I was thinking of using H4350. For 350g jacketed bullets Modern Reloading 2nd Edition by Richard Lee gives:

H4350 68g 2261 fps
H4350 72g 2432 fps

Thanks much,
Chuck

Regards,

Chuck

Those 350gr PP are good medicine for buffalo at about 2350. Or maybe bad medicine from the buff's point of view Big Grin

quickload says 72gr of h4350 is right at 60K psi, and slightly compressed, about 2350

quickload says 63gr of h335 is about the same pressure, 80% load density, and only 2310
