Max,
With a .395 Ruger Max, you are sure to win the "Big Bore" division, thanks to Ol'Bull for the division.

I had to relegate my vacation time for a tax deductible CME trip to Orlando in June, with the wife. She is one of those simple types that likes Florida, so I have to sacrifice and go to places like that occasionally.

Really good to hear that the .395 will be represented at the Ol'Bull buffalo shoot.

Win one for The Gipper. thumb

I'm down here in Florida, but my daughter lives in Helena. This would give me an excuse to turn up on her doorstep with my .375. We'll see...

OL Bull,

My wife and I would like to come. We're north of Missoula in St. Ignatius.

We won't have our Big Bores by then but would like to help out how ever we can while there.

We both would like to try some Different Big Bores. We would pay for some ammo or maybe bring a supply of various Big Bore bullets to help replace (and then some) what we shoot.

Allen, i'm sure that there will be plenty of guys willing to let you take a shot or two. Bitterroot from AHR is coming and said he would bring extra ammo for those who wanted a take a shot with his 585 and 600 dancing

I drove over yesterday but it was just too damn cold to get anything done. You'd swear it's January again CRYBABY

So i'll try again next weekend. Hope too see you at the match Cool

St. Ignatius? I'M from St. Ignatius. Live up Pistol Creek Road south of town.

Melted off a little today, but not as much as I thought it was going to. Had to help my brother-in-law and niece push a 20' tree off the road this morning so we could go to church.

Prof242,

you realize that it is incumbent on you to promote the .395" caliber big bores in Helena; especially since you only live a few miles up the wind tunnel and across the state line, don't you?

Looking forward to the Big Bore shoot in Helena. AHR will be sponsoring a couple of prizes. We will give away two new chrome-moly rifle barrels, caliber and specs of your choice. Manufacturers will be McGowan or Montana Rifleman. These may be a door prize or ??Ol Bull is still working on specifics. Anyway, two shooters will be walking out with an order for a new rifle barrel.

CCMDoc, i sure hope that you can make it. Big Grin

I went to the range today and finished up the stages for the match.

You will need 16 rounds to shoot the match....

But you will need more to play after the match thumb

That is "McGowen" with an "e" not an "a" (not McGowan). Best barrel maker on the planet, and the only one offering .395 currently.

Prof242, Mad Max of Montana, is sure to clean up the "Big Bore Division" with a McGowen-barreled .395 Ruger Max.

Give'm hell, Max. clap

Prof242,

seeing the 395 you and RIP have labored on so long will indeed, be one of the highlights of the Montana shoot. I think we may be classing them in .1" increments.

IE: under .400", over .400", over .500", and over .600.

Seriously though, i want to thank all of you for your interest and i hope everyone can make it. Bitterroot from AHR has got us a couple barrels salute for door prizes and i've got some stuff from two of the local sporting goods stores. I want everyone to have a good time and go home safe and happy. You will have one shot at 100 yards off shooting sticks, one at 75 yards, one at 50 yards and the other 13 will be under 40 yards. 16 rounds total for the match. But i've got some fun targets for the fun shootin!!....Ol Bull
