BuglemintodayYour big bore load
What hunting loads do you use in your big bores? I am trying to conduct a census so I can figure out which is everyones favorite and go from there for mine

Please include what type of bullet it is , velocity, etc

mstarlingIn my rifles I choose not to achieve maximum velocities, but the adequate velocities at which the rifles perform well.
9,3x62 286 gr Nosler Partition at 2425 fps
.375 H&H 300 gr Barnes TSX at 2600 fps
.416 Rigby 350 gr Barnes X at 2700 fps

.470 NE 500 gr Woodleigh at 2150-2250 fps
In addition I hope to get 2250-2300 fps with .416 Aagaard and 350 gr Speer Mag-Tips.

phurley5I shoot a .416 Rem and use the 370 grain North Fork soft and flat nose solid. 80 grains of RL-15 and Federal 215M primer, it does 2450 fps. I also shoot a 416 Rigby with a North 370 grain North Fork soft and flat nose solid and put behind it 98 grains RL-22 and Federal 215M primer, it does 2450 fps. Both do one holers when I am capable. I do a lot of plinking with 400 grain Hornady Round Nose, but when an animal is involved it is North Forks all the way. Good shooting.
