Biggest bore pump rifle? Login/Join

I'm just thinking about stuff. I was wondering what is the biggest bore pump rifle, that still has enough punch to it.
Has there ever been a pump big bore that can get big bullets into the 2250fps range. This would be an African class pump rifle, wouldn't it?
Pumps are ugly, but they are fast.

You could probably rebarrel or rebore a 760-7600 to 400 Whelen. That's as close to it as I can think of.

THey probably don't have 458 winmag... walmart doesn't cater to use big bore shooters..

but, you asked the largest, and the tula 4bore pump IS the largest

Did that make a BPR in 300 win? you could rebarrel to 458 or 470 AR and have the baddest huntable bigbore

Actually if you live far from a gunshop and a Walmart is nearby, they can order an amazing amount of guns from their catalogs. You just have to go to the gun counter and ask. A friend told me this and I went in and checked it out.

Krieghoff makes a pump in 9.3X62 and 300 winmag.

It's a wierd pump where you pull the forearm out to eject.....would take a little getting used to.

Krieghoff are looking at introducing the Semprio pump in either .416 Taylor or .376 steyr - probably the news will be out at the IWA show on Friday.

The Semprio works backwards to any other pump I have ever used. It is very fast with a bit of practice as the recoil opens the rifle and chucks the empty out and as you rock forward again it "automatically" closes.

If I changed my pump action shotgun for a decent semi Auto the Semprio is a design I could live with. I would hate to have one of each style...

Wow.

From the above linked tula page...
"The shotgun is intended for the amateur hunting..."

Gotta get one of these, there's some GREAT amateur hunting around here in springtime!

Y'all get many good trophy amateurs out your way?

All kidding aside, does anyone here actually own or have shot one of these monsters?

Cheers
Tinker
