What about starting with a Ruger Number 1 in 375 H&H

Mike, that's one option I had not thought about. I guess I am looking for a "deal" on a double, sort of hooked

I check Chadicks, Champlins, Cape Outfitters, etc. Know of any other places to check?

You could always get two Ruger Number 1s and glue them together and connect both levers

If your talking about a 375 Flanged Magnum in an English double,
it's worth waiting for. Great cartridge to shoot.
The 375 2 1/2 Flanged is also good.
Brass and dies are readily available.

JB Just get a 9,3x74R, the animals you shoot will never know the difference. The 375 Flanged is always high priced in a British double. A 450/400 [either 3' or 3 1/4"] is a much better buy. In fact you could get a British double in 450/400 AND a 9,3x74R double [with scope] for much less money than a 375 Flanged British. Then you would have a very good 2 rifle battery for Africa.
