For all you 45-70 fans, Navy Arms should have the Summit carbine out now. I shared a row with Val Forgett on the flight to RSA and he said it would be available by Oct. He was taking one to RSA to a PH friend there for evaluation.

That's the one. He told me they hoped to sell 4000 of the original carbines and got orders for 20,000. They didn't sell that many but the interest was there. They are also set to make Enfield receivers in Arizona when the supply dries up.

Well, The one that was supposed to be used in Mozambique never made it to Joberg. Or at least it never made it to customs. I had an email from a friend that Mr. Forgett never got his guns. SAA is still looking. Next year he (Val) plans to go back and do a proper hunt with replica arms that Navy Arms and Gibbs sells.
