So, has anyone looked at Ruger's new webpage showing the "stainless" 375 Alaskan with a black coating? I'm wondering what type of coating they are applying over stainless.
Teflon would work, but IMHO, a flat black Krylon spraypaint would be more durable. I know I'll get flamed for that comment, but it's a ss synthetic stock anyway -- it's clearly all about function. And don't get me wrong, I've got rifles like that that I love for what they do, they're just not too easy on the eyes. Nor were they meant to be.
