I'd say you did a good thing putting the poor thing out of it's misery. That has to be one of the sickest looking animals I think I've ever seen.

Camp Cooley has the ratiest coyotes I've ever seen. PWN375 swatted one just like that with his Pedersoli 45/70 a few years ago.

I agree, just think what suffering this little coyote would have done when cold weather set in! Tough way to die! A bullet is far better,IMO! There seems to be an infestation in that part of Texas, between Buffalo, and Huntsville. BWN300Mag's brother (PWN375) killed one in the same condition at Camp Cooley a while back. beer

Well I'm still claiming it as the first genuine Chupacabra shot in Texas. I don't care that every one else thinks it's a coyote with mange.

I seen a show 'bout that chippaloggra on the National Geuhgraphic channel jes this evenin'.

A feller on that show said thur ain't no setcha thang as a chippaloggra. All them dead dogs an' cats an' goats an' all . . . this here feller said it's some kinda satanic-type mutilation deal.

But that mangy lookin' blue thang you shot shore's hail looks like a chippaloggra to me.

You orta send that pitcher to the National Geuhgraphic. Might be a ree-ward.

Y'all be nice, now. I was jes' funnin'. Big Grin

Truth is, I like Texans. I use ta have a uncle lived outside a Houston. Texans tell the best tall tales.

Fact is, ma uncle use ta raise chippaloggras. Chinchillas too. But the dang chippaloggras ate all the chinchillas.

So, ma uncle let the chippaloggras go an' now you got yore problem. Kinda like them nutrias ya'll got down in them bayous.

I thank ya'll orta figger out a way ta sic them chippaloggras on them nutrias.

Jes' don't mess around an' let 'em cross-breed, though! Eeker

Hi Browningguy,
Hope your feeling better. It was sure fun out with you guys and you should have got a trophy for the uglyest yote. It seems wierd to come home from 85 degree temperatures put down the rifle and pick up the skiis. As soon as I'm over your little gift I'm as good as up the hill. Hope it doesn't last more than the week.
Take good care,
