Camp Cooley has the ratiest coyotes I've ever seen. PWN375 swatted one just like that with his Pedersoli 45/70 a few years ago.

We don't shoot coyotes with mange...........in the hopes that they will spread it to the rest of the population! Nice shot though.

Next morning. The buzzards & varmints wouldn't even touch it!

My eyes aren't what they used to be.....which of those two is the buzzard, and which one is the varmint?

I agree, just think what suffering this little coyote would have done when cold weather set in! Tough way to die! A bullet is far better,IMO! There seems to be an infestation in that part of Texas, between Buffalo, and Huntsville. BWN300Mag's brother (PWN375) killed one in the same condition at Camp Cooley a while back.

Hope your feeling better. It was sure fun out with you guys and you should have got a trophy for the uglyest yote. It seems wierd to come home from 85 degree temperatures put down the rifle and pick up the skiis. As soon as I'm over your little gift I'm as good as up the hill. Hope it doesn't last more than the week.
