Ive seen vectors that had excessive error [taper]in the receivers bored bolt hole, and that also required alot of general truing,...however i am extremely confident Ralf would have soundly assessed your receiver before deciding to incorporate it into an rifle build,-good luck.

If you are not scoping it, I would leave the safety as is. Good luck with the project. I was ready to have Ralf start a gun but got side tracked by two double rifles. He is the man!!!

Shootaway, nice action. Having both the original mauser flag safety on an original magnum mauser, and a three position side safety on an '09 Argentinian action, I think my next one will probably be one of the two position ones (can't remember the name) that retains the original bolt shroud but easier to use with a scope than the flag type. I like the look of the mauser shroud. Keep us informed, with pictures, of the progress with this please. Good luck, Chris
