Before I bought any of that, I'd check the date codes on the back of the boxes. I presume they are of the same lot?

Cordite or not?

Corrosive or noncorrosive primers?

These factors have a bearing on price.

Still, even for the worst case, there are quite a few bucks sitting on that pallet!

Now that is a fantasic find!

I found and bought a box of 50 original Kynoch bullets (not the full loaded round, but just the bullets) for the .500 NE - soft points - 570 grains and thought that was a cool find. But this trumps that!

Let's see, at $100,000,000,000 to $1 (the exchange rate as of last Friday) that works out to be 1/10 of $0.01. My $250 bid is still tops.

Dios mio! I'd feel like Indiana Jones stumbling on to that pile! You could either sell it and make a nice chunk of change, or do what everyone on this thread is thinking about doing....buy a double to shoot it!

What no one mentioned...is the Kynoch Ammo in
.500 Nitro Express is Berdan Primed...and an odd
primer size near impossible to find now (discontinued). So..the point being....500 Nitro Brass itself is quite costly...with boxer primers that can be reloaded. But this Kynoch ammo is once fired...can't be reloaded...even the odd Berdan Primers can't be found. So, for just shooting once, as ammo...it is OK. Other .500 Nitro Express ammo can be reloaded...but not Kynoch. Frankly,
I wouldn't have any of it as I like to reload what my .500 Nitro likes...not be stuck with the the .500 Nitro Kynoch if my double doesn't like it.
Best Regards, Tom from Cody

The old style solid woodies tend to fail at the base, as shown in a book by a zim guy titled Mbogo something.

I saw 3 bullets that all "failed" but killed the buffs dead with squished solids that matched the book picture.

The stuff was not reloadable IMO.

I will go $5 round for the lot.

Serious offer for up to 2000 rounds.
